Welcome to the home of Karim Al-Asl!

This site is dedicated to my lifelong love for the Saluki. Karim Al-Asl means "of noble origin", a phrase that came to my mind when thinking of the Salukis I grew up with. Graceful, yet humorous, and with an enchanting precense, is the essence for me when thinking of theese "kindred spirits". Whilst growing up, the subject "Saluki" has gradually broaden to meet new horisons. Encountering the world of COO Salukis has really set a milestone in my relation to the saluki. Now, I would rather think in the terms of a "Saluki complex", than a specific breed. The more I read, listen and learn about this intriguing type of dog - the more complex it seems to get. This lifelong journey has only yet begun...
